Job Title: Transportation Specialist

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and play a vital role in Amazon's transportation network.

As a key member of the team, you will oversee trailer moves and coordinate yard activities, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing delays. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to achieve seamless operations.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within fast-paced logistics or operations environments and possess excellent communication skills. They will be responsible for creating and sending daily reports, communicating with dock teams and NOC, and coordinating with multiple carriers and their contacts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee team members performing trailer moves and coordinate yard activities.
  • Conduct yard audits, inductions, and oversee driver inductions as assigned.
  • Communicate with OB (Outbound) dock team and NOC to give reasons for delays.
  • Coordinate with multiple carriers and their contacts for site-related escalations.
  • Establish and communicate daily load plan development/changes to NOC, internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor trailers arrival and departure times to ensure timely delivery.
  • Consolidate data from multiple sources to generate daily, weekly, monthly reports.
  • Engage carrier drivers and delivery drivers to maintain yard organization, safety, and minimize delays.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience working within fast-paced logistics or operations environments.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 kilos, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Work 38 hours/week, and overtime as required.
  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
