Senior Financial Accountant

The role of a Financial Accounting Manager entails overseeing the preparation and review of financial statements to guarantee accuracy and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Key responsibilities include managing month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely completion, adherence to statutory requirements, liaison with external auditors as necessary, monitoring and controlling cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting to support financial planning, identifying and implementing process enhancements to optimize efficiency in financial operations, providing leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering professional growth, collaboration with other departments to support business objectives and financial decision-making, and presenting detailed financial reports to senior management.
A successful candidate should possess tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, or a related field, CA or CPA certification (or working towards), strong technical accounting knowledge, including compliance with Australian accounting standards, exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail, proficiency in financial systems and software, advanced Excel skills, proven ability to manage teams and deliver results in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
