Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Site Security Officer (SO), ensuring compliance with local security policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with Information Systems Security personnel on facility modifications.
- Implement security access measures across classified facilities.
- Oversee the issuance and management of security passes and access arrangements.
- Maintain classified holdings in security containers, ensuring proper management and control.
- Support programs with specific security requirements and manage personnel clearance processes.
- Administer security systems and maintain compliance with alarm and access protocols.
- Assist in the development and execution of Crisis Management plans for the office.
Qualifications and Experience:
- In-depth knowledge of Security Classifications and Categorization Guides.
- Proven experience in a similar security role within defense or government sectors.
- Familiarity with Defense Security processes and protocols.
- Experience in Security Risk Management and relevant qualifications.
- Completion of the DSD Security Officers course is preferred.
- Experience in facility certification and accreditation processes.
- Knowledge of Defense security policy requirements and tools.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in Defense Security Systems management.
- Training in COMSEC and related areas.
- Completion of CARDS and Taclane training.
- Experience with cryptographic briefings.
Special Requirements:
Candidates must possess a current CoA NV1 security clearance.
