Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Compliance Specialist to join our team at AssetOn Group. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Create, implement, and monitor safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations.
  2. Conduct Risk Assessments and Audits: Conduct thorough risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  3. Provide Safety Training and Support: Deliver safety training and support to staff, promoting a culture of safety awareness and best practices.
  4. Investigate Incidents and Accidents: Investigate incidents and accidents, prepare detailed reports, and recommend improvements to prevent recurrence.
  5. Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with management and other stakeholders to ensure safety practices align with organizational goals and legal requirements.
Requirements:
  1. Proven Experience: Proven experience as a Safety Advisor or in a similar role, ideally within the mining, oil and gas, or ports industries.
  2. Strong Knowledge: Strong knowledge of OH&S regulations and best practices.
  3. Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with a diverse workforce.
  4. Relevant Qualifications: Relevant qualifications or certifications in Occupational Health and Safety.
  5. Ability to Work Independently: Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Unrestricted Working Rights: Unrestricted Australian working rights.
  7. Current Driver's Licence: A current driver's licence.
