The Role

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Field Service Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for providing technical support, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to maximize the availability, reliability, and productivity of our equipment.
  • Reporting regular machine issues and creating detailed technical documentation is a critical aspect of this role.
Key Requirements
  • A trade certificate in a relevant heavy equipment trade or engineering qualification is required.
  • Broad-based knowledge and experience working on heavy equipment is essential.
  • Field service technician experience, preferably with exposure to breakdowns, repairs, and diagnostics, is necessary.
  • Previous mine-site experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to read hydraulic and electrical drawings is a must.
  • Understanding of maintenance targets, including availability, reliability, parts management, and component lifecycle management, is crucial.
  • Skills to troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical problems and provide solutions are required.
  • A current driver's license is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office is necessary.
  • Ability to work independently is essential.

Location and Shift

The role is based in Gladstone, Mackay, or Emerald, supporting various Bowen Basin Sites. The shift is Monday-Friday roster based on a 38-hour workweek.
