">About the Role">
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families by working as a Senior Child Protection Practitioner.
">You will be responsible for strengthening case practice, providing effective service delivery, and supporting other practitioners in developing plans to ensure the safety, stability, and development of children and young people.
">This role requires strong social justice values and an understanding of complex family dynamics. You will collaborate with the Team Manager to provide guidance and support to colleagues, contributing to the development of a skilled and compassionate team.
">Key Responsibilities">
As a Senior Child Protection Practitioner, your key responsibilities will include:
">- Risk assessment and analysis: further develop and coach others in their understanding of risk assessment and analysis">
- Case planning review and case management: provide case planning advice, guidance, and support to others; directly support and input into cases where there is unacceptable risk to the child">
- Critical inquiry: lead planning, review, and management of issues in line with best practice principles and legislative requirements">
">
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
">- A strong understanding of social justice and complex family dynamics">
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills">
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team">
Additionally, you will require a valid driver's license and a willingness to travel, including in-country regions and interstate. Overnight and early morning travel may also be required.
