Warehouse Operations Manager

Job Description:

The Warehouse Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and distribution centre. This includes managing the team, coordinating logistics, and ensuring a safe working environment.

This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in warehouse management and will be able to drive operational improvements through staff development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and operate the day-to-day Warehouse & Distribution Operations
  • Drive an Environmental, Health & Safety focus within the team
  • Develop and deliver on operating plans, values, and KPIs/Metrics
  • Lead daily operations, removal of distractions, and provide timely feedback to customers
  • Develop, Deploy and Check/Adjust new systems and processes
  • Lead the improvement of processes, methods of operating, and practices
  • Monitor distribution centre performance against agreed KPIs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Minimum 10 years in a distribution, warehouse, and logistics leadership role

- Degree qualified with a major in supply chain management or related field preferred

- Experience in direct supervision and management of freight and transport companies

- Hands-on approach to developing and mentoring warehouse teams

- Strong analytical skillsets including ability to analyse and interpret data

- Extensive experience with Warehouse Management and Transport Management Systems
