The Role

The MES Modeler will focus on designing, configuring, and optimizing MES solutions to align with client requirements and enhance manufacturing operations. This role requires a solid understanding of MES systems and manufacturing processes, along with the ability to work effectively on implementation projects and support senior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design and configuration of MES solutions, including process steps, flows, products, resources (equipment), recipes, checklists, and documents.
  • Ensure system configurations meet client requirements and adhere to industry standards.
  • Support MES implementation projects by handling specific tasks related to system setup, configuration, and integration.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to contribute to project goals and timelines.
  • Work alongside senior consultants to understand business requirements and assist in translating them into technical solutions.
  • Provide input on MES functionalities and process improvements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of MES solutions aimed at optimizing manufacturing processes and improving system performance.
  • Identify and address any issues or inefficiencies in the system.
  • Participate in testing and validating MES solutions to ensure they meet quality standards and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with QA teams to develop test plans and resolve any defects.
  • Prepare comprehensive documentation for MES configurations, processes, and user guides.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training materials for clients and internal teams.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or other IT-related field.
  • 4-8 years of experience with MES systems, preferably Critical Manufacturing (CM) solutions.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including production and assembly, to effectively design and optimize MES solutions.
  • Experience in supporting MES projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in modeling or implementing MES software.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic approach to solution design.
  • Proficiency in documentation, training, and presenting technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and team members.
  • Self-starter capability to take a proactive approach to learning and development.
