Job Description:

As a Health and Safety Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being of our team members across various sectors. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough site audits, investigations, and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.

Additionally, you will participate in key projects aimed at strengthening our safety culture and promoting a positive work environment. This includes regularly visiting operational sites to provide support to frontline teams and fostering open communication.

Furthermore, you will develop a deep understanding of workplace health and safety legislation, systems, and culture change practices. You will collaborate with site leaders to enhance safety performance and implement effective solutions.

You will also work closely with our national Health and Safety team to share best practices and drive continuous improvement. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our organization's safety record.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold a tertiary qualification in Health and Safety or a related field
  • Possess excellent communication skills and confidence in building relationships at all levels
  • Be motivated to learn and committed to making a positive impact
  • Have previous experience in high-risk industries (construction, mining, manufacturing) is highly regarded, but not essential
  • Hold a current driver's licence and basic proficiency in office systems
  • Be willing to obtain a White Card if needed
