Job Description

This is a pivotal opportunity to shape the wellbeing and safety landscape of our institution, fostering an inclusive environment that prioritizes employee engagement and trust.

We are seeking a visionary leader to develop and implement comprehensive wellbeing, health and safety strategies in collaboration with leaders and stakeholders. The successful candidate will establish evidence-based systems, policies and practices, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge of Work, Health and Safety legislation and governance frameworks, with the ability to apply them in innovative ways. They will also possess strong leadership skills, leveraging digital tools and data analytics to monitor compliance and drive performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement wellbeing and safety strategies that position our institution as an employer of choice.
  • Establish inclusive, evidence-based systems, policies and practices, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Advise leaders on psychosocial risks, legislative changes, and risk management strategies.
  • Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing team to deliver innovative wellbeing and safety initiatives.
Requirements
  • Proven experience leading wellbeing, health and safety functions in large, complex environments.
  • Expert knowledge of Work, Health and Safety legislation, risk management and governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and sustain collaborative working relationships across all levels.
  • Strong capability in leveraging digital tools, data analytics and assurance processes.
