This is an exceptional opportunity to join our Supply Chain team as a full-time Supply Planner. This role plays a pivotal part in overseeing inventory purchases, collaborating closely with the Merchandise Planning Team - including the preparation, placement, and monitoring of purchase orders in SAP, tracking arrival of Purchase Orders to agreed timelines, and providing reporting as required.
We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain professional to join our team in Sydney. The successful candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive mindset.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced Excel skills, SAP experience (not essential), and a deep understanding of international trade and logistic practices. They will be able to think laterally for solution resolution, manage conflicting deadlines, and collaborate cross-functionally with a team mindset.
About the Role:
- Plan and place Purchase Orders in SAP to agreed quantities and timelines.
- Track all open Purchase Orders from placement through to delivery into warehouse, with proactive communication on delays and cancellations.
- Monitor inbound shipments to ensure on-time delivery versus supplier and freight provider commitments.
- Work closely with freight forwarder and suppliers, monitoring all associated paperwork in SAP on shipping status through to delivery, pricing, duty commissions, royalties, invoices, customs duties.
- Assist with determining freight methods to international and domestic customers including cost comparisons.
- Identify supply issues and escalate to relevant stakeholders.
- Track sales samples and promotional materials.
- Implement changes to improve operational efficiency.
- Closely collaborate with the Merchandise Planning team, Customer Service and Warehouse Teams to ensure smooth flow of information and inventory across the Supply Chain.
- Proactively communicate on risks and collaborate on solutions.
About You:
- Australian work authorization.
- Supply Chain/Logistics Degree highly regarded.
- Advanced Excel skills are essential.
- SAP experience not essential.
- Strong analytical skills and a proactive mindset.
- Sound problem-solving skills with ability to think laterally for solution resolution.
- Outstanding attention to detail with ability to manage conflicting deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with a team mindset.
- Understanding of international trade and logistic practices viewed favourably.
- Understanding of supply chain and operation process.
Key Responsibilities:
The Supply Chain Planner will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient planning and execution of purchases. This includes tracking purchase orders, managing logistics, and implementing process improvements.
