We are seeking a skilled Cultural Awareness Training Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will have experience working with the Australian Government or Defence and hold a TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training & Assessment. They will also possess excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation abilities.

The Cultural Awareness Education Planning program is part of the Collective and Individual Training Support Services (CITSS) that provides specialist cultural awareness services and training materials to individuals or groups who may be required to interact with Indigenous communities, diverse cultures, and non-English-speaking individuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cultural Awareness Education Planning: Designing instructional training material and content, converting lesson plans into effective deliverable outcomes, and coordinating the training delivery plan to ensure seamless execution.
  • Cultural Awareness Education: Delivering training in generic cultural awareness, providing specialised cultural awareness training tailored to specific cultural groups, and offering cultural training designed for operational or deployed environments.

Working Conditions

  • Contractual engagements on a basis.
  • Location: Australia-wide, across Defence bases.
  • Travel: Requires travel across multiple Defence bases locally and interstate.
