Residential Youth Worker: Job Opportunity

At our organisation, we seek a dedicated and compassionate Residential Youth Worker to join our team in Sydney. As part of our care services, you will work with young people aged 12-18 who are unable to live with their families or carers.

This role involves delivering high-quality care, responding to the emotional and functional needs of the young people, and developing their personal skills. You will be part of a team that provides trauma-informed and therapeutic care to young people presenting complex needs due to past trauma and abuse.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention or a related field, as well as a full Australian driver's license, First Aid Certificate, and Working with Children Check (paid employee status). Previous experience working with children and young people with complex needs is preferred.

We offer great pay rates, thorough organisational induction, ongoing training, and support. Our casual position comes with consistent hours and an easy-to-use rostering app for shift management. Additionally, you can earn a $150 voucher for each successful person you refer.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality care to young people who require out-of-home care services.
  • Develop and implement individualised plans to meet the emotional and functional needs of the young people.

  • Provide a safe and supportive environment for young people to achieve their goals.
Requirements:
