The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our events and sponsorship team. As the Head of Community Experience, you will be responsible for conceptualising, planning, and executing captivating events that reflect our community's aspirations and promote the Georges River area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the planning, organisation, delivery, and evaluation of community, civic, and cultural events.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment for your team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Secure sponsorships and partnerships to support event initiatives.
  • Measure event success and implement improvements based on data analysis.
What's on Offer
  • Temporary full-time position to cover parental leave, 70 hours per fortnight.
  • Salary from $123,546.89 per annum plus 11.5% superannuation.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Event Management or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in event planning and execution.
  • Proven track record in leading and motivating teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management abilities.
  • Experience in budget development and management.
  • Current Class C NSW Driver's License.
Physical Requirements
  • Capacity to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Must be capable of maintaining a prolonged standing or walking posture throughout the day.
  • Needs sufficient mobility to negotiate stairs and ramps, and to move over surfaces that can be slippery and uneven.
