Senior Advisor - Ministerial and Parliamentary Services Role Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior Advisor to join our team in the Ministerial, Executive and Parliamentary Services division. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the strategic direction of SafeWork NSW and drive better work health and safety outcomes for the people of NSW.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate Ministerial, Parliamentary, Executive and other ad hoc requests across a range of complex issues.
  2. Draft Ministerial correspondence, briefings and advice, and prepare and review briefings to Senior Executives.
  3. Support preparation for Parliamentary sitting weeks, Budget Estimates and public hearings, and respond to orders for papers and other requests arising out of the Parliamentary process.
Requirements:
  1. Prior experience in a similar role.
  2. Exceptional writing skills and the ability to communicate effectively and with confidence across diverse audiences.
  3. Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire, guide and support colleagues in delivering high-quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Strong ability to think strategically, aligning advice and actions with broader organisational objectives while maintaining awareness of emerging issues, key reforms and organisational priorities.
  5. Demonstrated ability to foster strong and productive relationships across key internal and external stakeholders.
Benefits:
  • Salary Grade 9/10, with the base salary starting at $129,464 plus superannuation.
