Key Position Description

The role of Senior Accountant plays a crucial part in offering premium accounting services to clients.

This position involves direct interaction with clients, collaborative strategy development, and working with team members and partners across all service areas.

  • Provide accounting and advisory services to a diverse clientele covering local and international clients.
  • Prepare financial statements (general purpose financial statements and management style financial reports), tax returns, monthly management reports, and other regulatory returns such as payroll tax and workers compensation renewals.
  • Maintain and cultivate strong client relationships through direct liaison both virtually and in person.
  • Lead client engagements and be the first point of contact for clients.
  • Mentor junior staff and provide training.
  • Develop and implement client strategies in collaboration with team members and partners.
  • Deliver exceptional client service in all that is done.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 3 - 5 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in a business services team within a chartered accounting environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero and MS Office Suite, with an emphasis on strong Excel knowledge.
  • Well-developed understanding of accounting principles and tax laws.
  • Superior problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to delivering quality service and maintaining strong client relationships.
