Job Description

We are seeking two experienced Senior Financial Accountants to join our team at Flexhive. As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in supporting the Assistant Director - Budgets in performing internal and external budgeting functions for the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the preparation of internal budget, financial analysis, and management.
  • Prepare monthly reporting activities, including financial reporting, capital reporting, and budgeting.
  • Manage and coordinate the grant acquittal reporting process for externally funded projects.
  • Ensure financial and procurement activity is accurately recorded and consistent with contracts, budgets, guidelines, and accounting standards.
  • Assist with system implementation changes and business improvement activities.
  • Produce structured and ad-hoc reports, memos, policies, procedures, and analysis on financial performance for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice and support to staff, management, and clients.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with contractors, consultants, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute constructively to organizational-wide projects, including strategic and operational plans.
Requirements
  • Australian Citizenship
  • Experience in finance, accounting, or managing budgets
  • Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander business and the outcomes the organization is responsible for delivering
  • Ability to contribute to a team
  • Preference for APS experience in finance
