Job Description

Penten Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our financial management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting: Conduct monthly analysis of financial results, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance financial reporting, processes, and systems.
  • Accounting and Compliance: Prepare complex accounting treatment assessments, policies, and procedures, and ensure compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
  • Tax and Audit: Work with external tax specialists to submit R&D tax incentives, income tax returns, and ASIC submissions, and lead the annual audit process to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Financial Close and Control: Facilitate the monthly and annual financial close, ensuring all period-end processes and journals are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with a CA or CPA qualification.
  • Experience: Extensive experience as a Financial Accountant or similar role, with strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and taxation laws.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making processes.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate financial concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
