Dental Officer Level 2

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dental Officer to join our team at Mid North Coast Local Health District. As a key member of our oral health team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, safe, and comprehensive oral assessment and clinical care to eligible patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical care to patients, including routine check-ups, fillings, extractions, and other dental procedures.
- Conduct thorough oral assessments to identify and address any oral health issues.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to meet the individual needs of patients.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest dental techniques and technologies to provide the best possible care.
- Registration with the Dental Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Minimum 2 years' clinical experience and successful completion of the Dental Officers Skills Assessment.
- Demonstrated competency in clinical practice, including the ability to provide comprehensive treatment to a wide spectrum of patients.
- High-level verbal and written communication skills, computer skills, and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated knowledge of current dental infection control standards, policies, and procedures.
- Ability to exercise independent professional judgment on routine matters and supervise clinical duties of Dental Therapists and Dental Assistants.
- Current driver's license and willingness to travel and work in various locations within the network.
