Unlocking Opportunities for Aboriginal Success

We are seeking a specialist to join our team in Aboriginal contractor engagement. The role involves representing our clients across government, non-government agencies, and other stakeholders to negotiate and influence the delivery of meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal supplier engagement.

The specialist will provide advice on Aboriginal suppliers, ensuring understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal business services and local programs.

They will project manage and deliver key events, projects, and functions of strategic importance to improve our brand in the industry. Additionally, they will provide ongoing mentoring and support to assist Aboriginal businesses in identifying and overcoming barriers in our procurement processes.

The specialist will investigate and lead critical projects that enhance service delivery, efficiency, and improve outcomes for Aboriginal suppliers.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A degree-level qualification in a relevant discipline and considerable experience in procurement and contracting in a utility business or a heavy engineering and construction environment.

You should have considerable experience in positions that require deep knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal cultural beliefs, attitudes, and protocols.

Additionally, you should have considerable experience working with procurement policies and procedures.

Experience in developing corporate strategies and policies is also essential.

Finally, you must be available to undertake travel within Western Australia in accordance with business needs.
