We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lawyer to fill the role of Senior Lawyer, Drug Treatment Court. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and practical experience in criminal law and therapeutic justice related matters.
About the Role:The Senior Lawyer will provide high-quality legal advice and act as an advocate for clients on Drug Treatment Orders in the County Court. Key responsibilities include conducting complex criminal casework management, acting as an in-court advocate for clients, and providing duty lawyer services and advice sessions.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough and effective casework management, ensuring that all cases are managed efficiently and effectively.
- Act as a strong advocate for clients in court, presenting their case with confidence and conviction.
- Provide high-quality duty lawyer services and advice sessions, ensuring that clients receive the best possible support.
- Demonstrated expertise in criminal law and therapeutic justice related matters, with significant knowledge and practical experience.
- Excellent casework, dispute resolution, and advocacy skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Previous experience supervising junior lawyers, with a genuine interest in taking on a mentoring role.
- High-level interpersonal skills, including forming productive professional relationships and communicating effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
To be considered for this role, you will need to possess a strong background in criminal law and therapeutic justice related matters, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders, and have a genuine interest in taking on a mentoring role.
