Key Role in Civil Justice Leadership

We are seeking an experienced Civil Justice professional to join our team and play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality legal services to disadvantaged communities.

This challenging opportunity involves acting as a senior advocate in complex civil law matters, particularly in mental health, disability, tenancy, social security, NDIS, and fines. The successful candidate will appear in courts or tribunals as appropriate, supervise and mentor junior lawyers, and partner with other services to address client needs.

To be successful in this role, you must have significant experience in civil law advocacy, negotiation, and dispute resolution. You should bring specialist knowledge in areas impacting people's fundamental rights, including VCAT and Mental Health Tribunal work. A strong understanding of the barriers faced by disadvantaged communities is also essential.

  • Civil Law Advocacy Expertise: Strong experience in civil law matters, particularly in mental health, disability, tenancy, social security, NDIS, and fines.
