The Zinfra Projects and Infrastructure business is a trusted partner for delivering construction projects in Transmission Lines, Substations (Green and Brown field), Renewable energy storage, and Green Gas infrastructure.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer from an Electrical or Civil background to join our Projects and Infrastructure business.

This role will work across the full lifecycle of projects, including tendering phases and supporting project delivery. The successful candidate will play a key part in securing and delivering projects while supporting the development of Project Engineers who report directly to this role.

Our projects primarily involve civil, structural, and electrical scope, with values typically ranging between $5M and $50M. Projects are delivered in both metro and regional locations, requiring occasional travel.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Scoping, coordinating, and delivering projects from proposal to close-out, ensuring technical requirements are met and scheduling, budgeting, and quality requirements are fulfilled.
  • Providing overall technical leadership on engineering aspect projects.
  • Leading and developing a team of Project Engineers to deliver successful project outcomes and creating a positive and collaborative work culture.
  • Managing the allocation, utilisation, and performance of Project Engineers reporting to this role.
  • Supporting the development of Project Engineers reporting to this role.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, customers, and subcontractors from the bidding phase through to project execution.
  • Unwavering commitment to delivering projects safely.

About You

To be considered for interview, your resume must detail a tertiary qualification in either Civil or Electrical Engineering, along with end-to-end project delivery experience from a utilities, infrastructure, or construction industry.

Key requirements include:

  • A strong understanding of project engineering/design & construct methodologies.
  • Exceptional service delivery focus working across multidisciplinary projects from small to large scale.
  • Experience in delivering projects to the highest safety standards while also delivering expected quality, cost, and time outcomes.
  • Well-rounded communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to develop individuals and teams.
  • Experience with delivering Substation or Transmission Line projects is preferred but not essential.

Compensation Package:

The estimated annual salary for this role is around $120,000 - $180,000, depending on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, opportunities for career growth, and a supportive work environment that values diversity and inclusion.
