This role can be based at any of our offices across the Greater Brisbane or Sunshine Coast regions. As a Mentor, you will provide exceptional guidance, practical and pastoral care to individuals who may face challenges in achieving their career goals.
You will also build strong relationships with employers, TAFE, Department of Education Skills and Employment, and other stakeholders to deliver an exceptional mentoring service.
This role involves guiding individuals to overcome obstacles, using a holistic, empathetic, and proactive approach to help them achieve their career objectives.
Your duties and responsibilities include:
- Managing a caseload of Australian Apprentices within a local region
- Meeting with employers, Australian Apprentices and parent/guardian (if applicable)
- Undertaking risk assessments, identifying barriers, and creating case management plans to address barriers
- Identifying and utilizing local/state/national organizations to assist with addressing barriers to completion
- Understanding and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures applicable to the program
- Maintaining accurate and detailed In-training information and file notes
- Completing status reports and reports on statistics
- Maintaining strong internal and external relationships
- Providing coaching and training

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in a similar mentoring or guidance role with significant call volumes and administration experience.
You will have demonstrated the ability to engage, respect, and support those of diverse demographics and social backgrounds, with a strong focus on youth.
You will possess excellent communication and administration skills, including strong CRM and data entry experience.
You will have proven experience in meeting set targets, KPIs, and customer service standards.
Experience in youth/social work, or progress towards these qualifications, would be highly regarded.
A current driver's license or ability to travel is essential for this role.
As part of our commitment to protecting children, young people, and adults at risk, you will be required to undergo pre-employment checks, including a National Police Check, State/Territory Working with Children Check, reference checks, verification of your right to work in Australia, and confirmation of qualifications.
