About This Opportunity

As a Staff Specialist in Gastroenterology, you will be responsible for providing clinical management and treatment of patients in a healthcare facility under your care. You will work within the scope of your clinical privileges and adhere to the guidelines set by relevant authorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing gastroscopies, ERCPs, EUS, outpatient clinics, inpatients, and on-call support
  • Collaborating with other staff and practitioners in a multidisciplinary healthcare team
Requirements:
  • Current medical practitioner registration with the Medical Board of Australia and fellowship of the RACP and/or other specialist recognition as provided under the Health Insurance Act 1973
  • Demonstrated high standard of clinical practice and ability to adapt to contemporary evidence-based best practice
  • Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management
  • Participation in teaching and training at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level
  • Continuing self-education and development, including continuing medical education/continuing professional development
