Key Responsibilities
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships to ensure strategic communications alignment.

  • Deliver strategic planning expertise to support engagements activities.
  • Develop cross-functional relationships and business alignment.
  • Meet stakeholders face-to-face for queries and proactive relationship management.
  • Establish valued relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understand obligations related to community engagement.
  • Provide stakeholder management and communications advice on contentious issues.
  • Complete assigned actions in crisis situations involving the organization in the community.
  • Participate in relevant corporate or community events as required.
  • Influence internal awareness and acceptance of community engagement approach.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic stakeholder relationship management, communication skills, and community interaction.
  • Knowledge and experience of Local Government and related organizations highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in communication, community engagement, stakeholder management, or a related field.
  • Tertiary qualification in Communications, Social Planning, Sciences, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Subject matter expertise in best practice communication/community and stakeholder engagement.
  • Understanding of International Association of Public Participation spectrum.
  • Ability to prioritize work and critically assess own performance.
  • Excellent listening skills with strong ability to demonstrate understanding and empathy.
  • Teamwork ability.
