Senior Building Design Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Buildings Team in Newcastle.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a large and well-established international consultancy, giving you the opportunity to leverage your skills across a balance of technical work, project management and client relationships.
Main Responsibilities:- Structural design of buildings, along with inspections, assessments, and reporting.
- Collaborative working with architects, project managers, building services and civil engineers in multidisciplinary teams delivering iconic projects.
- Project leadership and team management to ensure successful project delivery.
- Working as part of a team on projects from conception, through to final design and construction surveillance.

Necessary Qualifications:- A relevant university degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering.
- A minimum of 8-12 years' industry experience as a Structural Engineer, with specific depth of experience in building design projects in a consulting environment.
- Experience utilising a broad range of skills across various types of buildings and materials.
- Membership of professional bodies such as Engineers Australia and working towards CPEng and NER registration is desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Building Codes and Standards.
- Ability and willingness to mentor junior engineers.
