Energy Lawyer Position

We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join our team.
- The successful candidate will lead and support the negotiation, drafting and review of a wide range of commercial contracts such as EPC contracts, supply and install contracts, balance of plant contracts, PPAs/offtake agreements, connection agreements, and O&M agreements.
- They will advise on land acquisitions, planning approvals, and general commercial matters including NDAs, consultancy agreements, services agreements, and disputes.
- Responsibilities also include providing support and managing external counsel, advising on regulatory matters such as FIRB, Australian Financial Services Licences and Critical Infrastructure.
- The ideal candidate will contribute to strategic initiatives, including the development of precedent contracts, adoption of new processes, and delivering training to the team.
Requirements:
- Must be admitted as a lawyer in Australia.
- Should have 4-8 years of experience practising as a projects or energy lawyer in private practice or in-house.
- A strong understanding of energy or infrastructure transactions in Australia is essential.
- Proven stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence outcomes are required.
- The ideal candidate will be collaborative, adaptable, and self-motivated with strong problem-solving, commercial, and communication skills.
- Thriving in dynamic and evolving environments is a must.
