Senior Mechanical Supervisor

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Supervisor

About the Role

As a senior mechanical supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and supervision of mechanical equipment on site. This involves supervising a team of maintenance personnel, contractors, and apprentices to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the maintenance team, ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist with ongoing training and mentoring of apprentices and trainees, as well as supervising contractors.
  • Ensure that maintenance personnel activities are consistently aligned with meeting operational targets.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and monitoring of adherence to relevant new maintenance procedures, processes, and technology.
Requirements
  • Strong leadership skills and commitment to safety.
  • Valid Mechanical Trade Qualification.
  • Previous experience in mechanical maintenance in an underground environment and knowledge of mining technologies and equipment.
  • Experience with Sandvik development drills, Epiroc MT65's, MT6020's and Production drills, Caterpillar R1700 Loaders, Sandvik 517i Loaders.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Previous Pronto knowledge an advantage.
