Overview

Role: Maintenance Electrician. Up to $54.57 per hour. Permanent, full-time. Location: Port of Brisbane QLD.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking electrical maintenance such as repairs, validation, installation, testing, tagging and breakdown management.
  • Electrical fit outs on new and used equipment, workshop-based manufacturing, some diagnoses and repair of diesel powered industrial equipment.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components; install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, control devices, and related equipment.
  • PLC troubleshooting and hazardous area electrical work.
  • Preventative and corrective maintenance on fixed plant and electrical and mechanical fault-finding.
  • Document the completion of service requests and report findings to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Promote site safety and ensure adherence to Australian electrical regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Be an enthusiastic self-starter who can perform efficiently without supervision.
Qualifications
  • Trade-qualified electrician with a Certificate III in Electrotechnology or an internationally recognised equivalent; current Australian Electrical Licence.
  • Proven experience as an industrial electrician, preferably in food manufacturing or FMCG; experience in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing is a plus.
  • Current Queensland (QLD) driver's licence.
  • Must be available for a Call Out roster.
Requirements
  • Current QLD Electrical licence and the right to work in Australia.
  • Willingness to work as part of a mobile maintenance team in Brisbane and at the Port of Brisbane site.
