Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Master Mechanical Team Lead to lead our team of skilled mechanics at a prominent branch.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing hire equipment and machinery, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary resources to perform their duties effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Lead by example, promoting a safety-first culture and Zero Harm practices within the team.
  • Work closely with the Branch Manager to understand customer priorities and allocate resources accordingly.
  • Ensure the team has clear understanding of daily work priorities, branch KPIs, and job responsibilities.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels of spare parts to minimize downtime.
  • Accurately complete relevant paperwork for service or repair work.
  • Minimize operational downtime of equipment through proactive maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, and overhaul of plant equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical faults.
Requirements
  • Relevant trade qualifications, preferably in mechanical engineering.
  • Proven experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and preventative maintenance skills.
  • A valid driver's licence is essential; Forklift and EWP tickets are highly desirable.
  • Leadership experience in a workshop or service environment is required.
