Job Overview:

The Sexual Health Nurse - Enhanced Syphilis Response Program (ESRP) role supports targeted screening of men across Central Australia, including Congress town and remote clinics.

This is a service delivery position with significant time spent on clinical activities, such as screening, prevention, treatment, and monitoring of sexually transmissible infections (STIs).

You will work closely with the Sexual Health Coordinator to ensure appropriate clinical practice and develop specialist skills and knowledge in sexual health and blood-borne viruses.

About the Role:

This is a critical role in addressing the current syphilis outbreak in Central Australia.

You will be responsible for undertaking targeted screening, prevention, treatment, and monitoring of STIs in the region.

Your work will involve considerable time spent on clinical activities, both in the clinic and outreach settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake targeted screening of men across Central Australia
  • Provide prevention, treatment, and monitoring of STIs
  • Work closely with the Sexual Health Coordinator to ensure appropriate clinical practice
  • Develop specialist skills and knowledge in sexual health and blood-borne viruses
