We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Leader to join our team.
This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring electrical maintenance activities meet statutory requirements and electrical equipment is reliable, optimising business performance and minimising operational downtime.
- The EEM will be responsible for controlling and managing electrical engineering activities and projects, including statutory obligations under the Work Health and Safety (Mines and Petroleum Sites) Act 2013 and site safety management system.
- They will establish and maintain electrical maintenance practices in line with company procedures and statutory requirements.
- Development of the Electrical Engineering Management Plan (EEMP) and its periodic reviews and day-to-day implementation will also fall under their remit.
- They will oversee and manage the design and execution of electrical work and installations, as well as provide technical advice and support to stakeholders.
This position offers a 9 day fortnight roster, allowing for residential, DIDO or FIFO lifestyles. Employees living residentially may have access to a housing allowance and salary sacrifice options.
About You- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role in a coal mine environment is required.
- The successful candidate must hold current EEM certification, electrical trade qualifications, high voltage switching, EEHA Hazardous areas and mining supervisory competencies.
- A post-trade engineering qualification is highly regarded.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and ability to foster a positive safety culture is essential.
- Experience with computerised maintenance management systems and Master Data is highly desirable.
