Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator - Road ConstructionAre you a skilled operator looking for a challenging role in road construction?We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for operating a grader to spread gravel and perform final trimming on road rehabilitation and heavy patching sites with limited supervision.Responsibilities:
  • Operate a grader to meet required standards and tolerances.
  • Carry out manual and skilled labour tasks, including the use of powered and non-powered hand tools and small plant equipment.
  • Provide guidance to team members and lead small work groups as needed.
  • Perform routine safety inspections and basic maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Address operational issues using standard procedures and escalate complex problems to supervisors or managers.
  • Apply knowledge of WHS legislation, policies, and procedures to identify, assess, and manage risks.
Requirements:
  • Current Australian motor vehicle driver licence (Class C); minimum requirement: Provisional P1 licence.
  • Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed.
