Heavy Equipment Mechanic Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Granny Smith Gold Mine. As a key member of our Fixed Plant team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of our equipment.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing reliable and accurate assistance and practical application to minimize downtime and potential loss of production within the processing team. This includes:

  • Performing preventative maintenance through scheduled inspections, servicing, adjustments, troubleshooting, and timely repair of plant equipment.
  • Sharing and displaying maintenance knowledge, expertise, and practical application to minimize downtime and ensure production targets are met.
  • Completing all administrative processing requirements associated with maintenance duties, such as requisitioning of parts and materials, processing maintenance orders.
  • Being available from time to time to be on the plant as an operator/maintainer of the plant.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Possession of Mechanical or Auto Trade Qualifications.
  • Significant post-trade mechanical maintenance experience working on fixed plant infrastructure, light vehicles, and small heavy diesel equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work within a team environment.
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • Possession of Mobile CN crane, dogging, Rigger basic EWP and Forklift tickets preferred.
