Lead System Safety Coordinator

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Engineering Functional team as the Lead System Safety Coordinator. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership, management, and coordination of System Safety Program activities on NGA Programs and Captures.
This role will involve maintaining the Safety Program and association plans for each program, with a focus on continuous improvement of the engineering safety policy, processes, and procedures to increase efficiency and capability, and ensure continued compliance with legal and regulatory safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and management of System Safety Program activities
- Maintain the Safety Program and association plans for each program
- Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives for engineering safety policy, processes, and procedures
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory safety requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, and relevant experience as a Systems Safety professional or within large transport aircraft operations in a technical role. You will also need to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work across multiple disciplines.
Knowledge of aircraft certification standards, MIL-STD-882, ARP4761, or other System Safety standards is essential for success in this position. Experience working within a DASA regulatory environment is also highly desirable.
