Job Description

As a Charge Up Operator, you will be responsible for charging development and production blasts, transporting and handling explosives, maintaining underground firing lines, and carrying out shot firing duties. Your work will involve collaborating with a team to achieve production targets while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

About the Role
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of task instructions and procedures, adhering to them consistently during operational tasks.
  • Achieve production targets through explosive blasting services that provide targeted ore in the desired form, with safety and efficiency as top priorities.
  • Certify the accuracy and integrity of all equipment by conducting regular audits and ensuring meticulous housekeeping practices.
  • Support the efficient operation of underground mining systems and processes by providing reliable and accurate operational knowledge to minimize downtime.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Vast experience in underground operations is mandatory.
  • Experience with emulsion use in blasting is preferred.
  • A proven track record of safe underground mining practices is essential.
  • Dangerous Goods and Working at Heights Ticket is required.
  • A valid driver's license and Shot firer's license are also necessary.
