Transforming Infrastructure with Cutting-Edge Technologies

SICE Pty Ltd, a leading designer and system integrator of Intelligent Transport Systems, is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to join its team working on the West Gate Tunnel Project in Melbourne. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of a state-of-the-art Operations Management and Control System (OMCS) and related ITS for this large-scale infrastructure project.

About the Role:
  • We are offering a competitive salary package of approximately $85,000 per annum, commensurate with experience.
  • This is a unique entry-level opportunity for recent software and engineering graduates or individuals with relevant skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design test cases to ensure software implementation meets requirements;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to guarantee design meets technical specifications;
  • Execute nominated test cases and create defects on the defect management system;
  • Work closely with the design and development team to resolve defects;
  • Supervise the completion of defect resolution;
  • Test all aspects of SICE's delivery for the West Gate Tunnel Project and report defects;
  • Create and execute both manual and automated test cases and record their outcomes;
  • Review technical documentation.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant field of engineering (Software, Electrical, Electronic, Computer Science) within the last two years or currently studying towards it;
  • Knowledge and/or experience of PLC/SCADA systems architecture is highly desirable;
  • Programming skills in .NET, Python, or Javascript;
  • Strong MS Office Suite skills, especially in Excel and Word;
  • Experience in test management software is a plus;
  • Ability to work entirely on-site;
  • Ability to work on a shared roster and shift-work upon request;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
