Job Overview

This is a unique opportunity to oversee the multi-billion-dollar Queensland Rail Capital Plan and contribute to the delivery of a single integrated transport network.

  • Program management including annual program development activities and program oversight of the multi-billion-dollar Queensland Rail capital investment program (Capital Plan), and Infrastructure Services, under the Rail Transport Service Contract (Rail TSC).
  • Consult, collaborate, and negotiate with internal and external agencies and represent the department at a variety of forums related to the Rail TSC and the Capital Plan.
  • Provide advice to senior executives and the Minister, including preparing periodic Capital Plan and related program and/or project reports, briefing notes and general correspondence, ensuring the provision of accurate, timely and well-written materials, targeted to the audience.
  • Proactively manage the resolution of issues, which may result in project variations or variations to the Rail TSC.
Key Responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the multi-billion-dollar Queensland Rail Capital Plan and contributing to the delivery of a single integrated transport network. This includes managing programs, consulting with internal and external agencies, and representing the department at various forums. They will also provide advice to senior executives and the Minister on the Capital Plan and related matters.
