Job Role

As a Mental Health Clinician, you will be playing a key role in delivering evidence-based interventions to children, adolescents, and their families.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity based in Kogarah, Sydney. You will work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide family-based interventions and early intervention approaches.

We are seeking an experienced clinician with strong negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills to contribute to service delivery improvements and provide supervision to other staff where required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and their families through assessment, planning, and delivery.
  • Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver family-based interventions and early intervention approaches.
  • Contributing to service delivery improvements, and providing supervision to other staff where required.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Professional qualification in Social Work (eligible for membership of AASW) or Occupational Therapy with current registration with AHPRA; Clinical Psychologists require full PsyBA registration with endorsement in Clinical Psychology (or eligibility to progress) and a postgraduate Masters/Doctorate in clinical psychology (APAC-accredited, minimum two years full-time).
  • Extensive clinical experience in family-based interventions and therapeutic models for infants to young adults (0-18 years) and their families/carers.
  • Strong negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to provide in-depth advice and education to enhance service delivery and offer clinical supervision to staff.
  • Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation with others.
  • Advanced skills in acute/non-acute assessments including risk management.
  • Demonstrated computer literacy.
  • Current driver's license or willingness to travel as required.
