Opportunity Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Executive to join our team as a Timber Industry Sales Representative. This role requires a proven track record of success in sales, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong understanding of the local building sector.

Our client is a reputable and respected company in Western Australia's building industry. With over 48 years of experience, we have established ourselves as a leading provider of timber and hardware products to the trade, timber, building, and construction industries.

Your Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic plan to identify and seize new business opportunities within the residential building sector. This will involve establishing connections with key decision-makers among top builders in Perth, presenting our range of timber and hardware products effectively, and fostering relationships with small to medium builders and large corporate builders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop Strategic Business Plan: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the residential building sector.
  • Establish Key Relationships: Connect with top builders in Perth, present our timber and hardware products, and build relationships with small to medium builders and large corporate builders.
  • Foster Client Relationships: Ensure satisfaction and loyalty among existing clients, contributing to overall growth objectives.
  • Sell Across Ranges: Sell various building supplies, including roof timber, truss roof, wall framing, flooring systems, doors, second fix, hardies products, and brickie's hardware.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Proven Sales Track Record: A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, preferably in the building materials industry.
  • Established Network: Strong relationships with top residential builders in Perth.
  • In-Depth Product Knowledge: Excellent understanding of timber and hardware products, with the ability to communicate their features and benefits persuasively.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate strong client relationships.
  • Results-Driven Approach: Proven ability to achieve and exceed sales targets.
