Piacentini & Son is an earthmoving and mining contractor that provides bulk earthworks, mobile mining and earthmoving equipment supply, road haulage, and mining rehabilitation services.

With over 1000 employees across Australia and a head office in Bunbury, Western Australia, the company has a rich 80-year history of operations. Piacentini & Son supports the mining and resources sectors with mining and earthmoving services.

The company recently secured a 9-year contract for the Kimberley Mineral Sands Thunderbird Operations, a greenfield Mineral Sands mine located between Broome and Derby.

This opportunity involves production-focused mobile plant operations at our KMS Broome site. As an Experienced All Round Mobile Plant Operator, you will work closely with other members of our site Production team and report to the Production Supervisors.

About You

  • You should have 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • You must be experienced in operating specific equipment:

o 336 CAT Excavator

o 988 CAT Loader

  • Relevant Machine Operator Tickets and/or VOCs are essential.
  • You must demonstrate a clear commitment to the health, safety, and well-being of all employees.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required.
  • A valid Australian Drivers Licence is necessary.
  • You may be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug / Alcohol Screen.

Responsibilities

  • Operating Mobile Plant Equipment efficiently to maximise productivity without compromising on safety.
  • Performing required prestart checks on machinery.
  • Maintaining a high quality of work.
  • Working effectively within a team environment.
