This pivotal role sits within the Administration office outside Mount Gambier Prison, offering a highly influential position in our Senior Leadership Team.
About This Strategic HR Position- The successful candidate will play a critical part in delivering business-driven, value-adding initiatives across HR areas including talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, staff engagement, culture, and employee relations.
- As an HR Lead, you will work closely with our Prison General Manager and report directly to the Director-Human Resources.
In this strategic leadership role, you will:
- Lead the Mount Gambier Prison HR portfolio and design and deliver the HR management plan.
- Coach and advise local managers on people management best practices.
- Provide expert guidance on policies, procedures, legislation, and industry practices to internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to site HR strategies and its effective alignment with the objectives of the business.
We are seeking an experienced HR professional with a broad range of skills and expertise. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, commercial acumen, conflict resolution and negotiation skills, and be able to navigate complex situations effectively.
