As an electrical technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems, including electrical panels, motor control systems, and industrial PLC control systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Constructing and assembling electrical panels and other electrical equipment.
- Troubleshooting issues with motor control systems and industrial PLC control systems.
- Providing support for the installation of new electrical equipment.
- Reading and working from electrical schematic drawings.
- Producing electrical drawings using CAD software.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A certificate or diploma in higher engineering trade.
- 10+ years' experience in the electrical field, with a strong background in design and commissioning control systems.
- A current NSW electrical licence.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Basic to intermediate level PLC and HMI software skills.
- Familiarity with industrial sensors and signalling.
- Electronic skills, including PCB assembly, troubleshooting, and circuit drawing interpretation.
