Senior Spiritual Care Practitioner

This position involves delivering high-quality pastoral care services to residents, ensuring their cultural and spiritual wellbeing is maintained.
Working Monday to Friday with flexible hours to meet residents' needs, you will collaborate closely with residents, family members, and employees to provide person-centered, faith-based, inclusive, and friendly spiritual support and pastoral care services.
- Develop effective relationships with residents through regular visits and group activities
- Promote resident choice and participation in pastoral care services
- Provide spiritual support and pastoral care services to residents, family members, and employees within a trauma-informed framework
- Plan and deliver spiritual celebrations for special occasions, incorporating diverse religious and cultural backgrounds
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A genuine passion for providing exceptional care to the elderly
- Completion of relevant qualifications, such as Cert III or IV in Pastoral Care, Counselling, or similar fields in theology or spirituality
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with residents and their families
- Commitment to respecting the values, customs, preferences, and spiritual beliefs of residents
