Spiritual Care Specialist

Spiritual care is a vital part of the support we offer our residents. As a Spiritual Care Specialist, you will play a key role in delivering this care, ensuring that every individual feels seen, heard, and valued.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Establish meaningful relationships with residents through regular visits and activities
  • Foster a culture of resident choice and participation in spiritual care services
  • Provide personalized spiritual support and care to residents, family members, and employees, taking into account their unique needs and preferences
  • Create opportunities for spiritual growth and reflection, including special celebrations and moments of prayer
  • Support mission formation activities and maintain pastoral care assessments and progress notes
Requirements:
  • A genuine passion for providing compassionate care to others
  • Relevant qualifications in theology, spirituality, or a related field, such as Cert III or IV in Pastoral Care or Counselling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
  • A commitment to respecting the values, customs, and spiritual beliefs of all individuals
  • A strong personal spirituality, lived out in a way that reflects your faith and values
