Insurance Risk Governance Leader

This is a pivotal role in shaping the future of insurance risk management across the group.

You will oversee and enhance the group's insurance risk framework, related policies, and governance documentation to ensure effective risk management.

The ideal candidate will spearhead the development and review of these frameworks and policies, ensuring robust control assurance through innovative technology solutions.

You will build strong relationships with business divisions, providing expert advice and guidance to insurance risk managers and their teams.

Your contributions will be vital in committee and board reporting meetings, and you will play a key role in fostering an insurance risk culture that aligns with our values and strategic goals.

This is a permanent full-time role open to our offices in Melbourne. To be successful in this role, you will ideally meet the below criteria:

  • Extensive experience in general insurance (both commercial and personal lines).
  • Proven expertise in developing, managing, and assuring risk frameworks.
  • Relevant tertiary and/or professional insurance qualification.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and forward planning.
  • Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively to achieve shared objectives.
