Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a diverse range of tasks in the Microbiology Specimen Reception area to a consistently high standard.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform a diverse range of tasks in the Microbiology Specimen Reception area to a consistently high standard in accordance with established laboratory protocols.
- Demonstrate operational knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge in relation to specimen processing and preparation within the Microbiology and Molecular Microbiology Pathology Queensland laboratory.
- Use word processing skills, computer data input and retrieval skills.
- Follow instructions and work with a high level of attention to detail.
- Communicate and interact effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Operate laboratory equipment (e.g. centrifuges, cytospin, staining machine).
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification (Cert III Laboratory Assistance) is highly regarded.
- Ability to participate in weekend and public holiday rosters.
- Comply with workplace adjustments as needed.
