Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Building Services Engineer to join our team due to anticipated growth in the Sydney area.

  • Create comprehensive mechanical engineering design documentation from concept to tender and construction phase, adhering to technical, commercial, regulatory, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other design teams and engineering disciplines to ensure project coordination and resolution of overall design solutions.
  • Deliver project-related tasks to meet timeframe, quality, and performance targets.
  • Interface with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
  • Attend site inspections and collaborate with trade contractors to ensure designs are installed on-site in accordance with briefed requirements.
  • Lead small to medium size projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers and participate in mechanical discipline development.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor to Master level degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Building Services).
  • Extensive experience within Australian building services consulting engineering practices.
  • Well-versed across various building sectors such as commercial, health, laboratory, pharmaceutical, education, aviation, transport, or defence.
  • Experience with mechanical building services engineering design and various types of mechanical services systems.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Australia Standards and the Building Code of Australia.
  • Excellent time management, written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency with mechanical design packages such as CAMEL.
  • Registered Building Practitioner / Professional Engineer qualifications and/or Engineers Australia chartership would be advantageous.
  • Understanding and modeling capability using Revit MEP, NavisWorks, and BIM would be highly advantageous.
  • Engineering project leading / management skills would be highly advantageous.
