Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and treat residents with a range of physical and mobility issues, using evidence-based practices and techniques.
  • Contribute to multidisciplinary care planning to ensure residents receive comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure seamless communication and handovers, promoting resident-centered care.
  • Develop and implement reablement pathways to support residents in achieving their goals and maintaining independence.
  • Mentor and support students on placement, promoting learning and professional development.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident outcomes and experiences.
Requirements
  • Bachelor or Master degree in Physiotherapy with current registration with AHPRA.
  • Knowledge of residential aged care practice and experience working from a Healthy Ageing approach.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to use relevant software and systems.
